We ate here with our family and our neighbors who stayed with us at my parent's beach house. We usually visit Crabby Mikes when we do beach seafood buffets. The food was good, I don't think I'd say great. I thought it was a little expensive for the quality. I spent $110, $130 with tip for 3 adults and a child...that was with a coupon. My neighbor's wife just wanted a salad and popcorn shrimp. That would've cost almost as much as the buffet. She ended up just getting the salad and soup bar (had to settle in not getting seafood). I felt bad that she didn't to spend $25. She had to pay $14 for an underwhelming salad bar. Again, it wasn't bad, I just did not think it was worth $30 per person. For a few dollars more, we could have went to CM's...which we'll probably do going further. The positive is we did not have to wait for up to 1 hour which we've done at CM's. I'd come back if they'd stop the price by about $5 per person, but probably won't at $28 per person...without drinks. Ok choice though if you don't want to wait in line.

It's buffet, so you can get a lot of food but Pass on this if you want really delicious seafood. Food ok. I think it's basically for tourist.

I'm not super critical but do not go here! This place is disgusting. The food was overcooked, nothing tasted right, and we all got sick after eating here. We had a large group of 15 and we were all sick for days after eating at Benjamins Calabash. They have several options for deep fried food; it all tasted like the coconut battered shrimp because its all cooked in the same oil. The steaks were nice thick big chunks; they were hard to chew and cooked well-well past done. The crab legs tasted like water and again, they were over cooked. Most of the food tasted like it had been sitting there a while as well. Only thing that tasted good was the ice cream but you had to touch this dirty scoop that countless of kids touched and hangover a freezer and scoop it out to get to it. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Four stars for the staff which they were very nice and accommodated our large with ease.

While on vacation, we decided to stop in. I had a coupon for $5 off, too. We went in and were greeted immediately by a hostess. We asked the cost of the buffet. She said $24.99/adult. So far, so good. Paying less than $20/ adult is a good deal in the area, from my understanding. We were seated and greeted by our waitress and informed that the buffet was $27.99. When I asked why the price wasn't $24.99, she informed us the coupon was only valid on 'regular buffet price'. While we were still paying less than the "Early Bird Special" we were originally quoted, it would have benefitted us more to have dinner there than lunch. I ate a deviled crab- it was good. Everything else, however, is another story. The crab legs were gross. The hush puppies were disgustingly hard and overcooked. I was glad there was a basket on the table for the crab legs. Most of the contents on my plate went in it. The mozzerella sticks were way undercooked. The loaded potatoes were greasy and cold. Dessert looked like it had been picked up at the local Wal-Mart and doled out on plates. It was the most expensive and disgusting dinner on our entire trip.

More on the 3 1/2 side but as a buffet restaurant, my family was satisfied with most everything on the bar - which was welcomed by my picky eaters. Server was attentive and friendly.

Sooooo many things to choose from on the buffet. Too much really. There have been some coupons for buy one get one free in the local papers. I'm sure that will go away once season begins. My hubby enjoys the crab legs.
